I'm sure this is a headache problem for all of the dog owner.
"What are ticks ?"
"How to get rid of them from my dog and my environment?"
"How to prevent them from infected?" ..... etc.
Basically, ticks are not insect, they are like mites and spiders. They cannot fly and jump, they only crawl.
Ticks' diet consists only blood. They require a blood meal for their every stage in their life cycle
There are four stages in tick's life cycle: egg, larva, nymph and adults.
There are four stages in tick's life cycle: egg, larva, nymph and adults.
1) After the female ticks lay egg on the ground, the egg hatch into larva.
2)The larva will find the a host (e.g. your pet), after sucking the blood for several days, then the larva detach and fall to the ground.
3)In the ground, the well-feed larva develop to the large nymphs.
The nymphs now will find an host and feed again and become adult.
4)Matting occurs while both the adult male and female ticks are on the body of the host(e.g your pet). After having the blood meal, the female ticks drop to the ground and lay one large batch of eggs which number over thousands.

Ticks control must be carried out both on pet and environment. There are no shortcuts, no sure cure and must be ongoing process.
Environment Control:
A home can become infest if your pet picks up ticks from open fields, infested kennel.
A home can become infest if your pet picks up ticks from open fields, infested kennel.
In the house, ticks tend to crawl to a higher area (e.g. ceiling, crack at the window or door).
The infested house and kennel must be cleaned and vaccumed thoroughly in order to eliminate as many ticks as possible.
Your pet bed and pet area should be cleaned well.
Use environmentally-safe spray for your environment control.
Tick control on dog:
-Keeping your pets out of grass area to reduce the exposure to ticks.
-When spot the ticks on the body of dog, use a pair of tweezer, pull firmly and steadily directly outward. Place the tick in a jar of alcohol to kill it.
- Apply "frontline" or "accurate" spot on tick control product on the back of the neck of your pet once a month.
*Do not remove the ticks by using your fingers. As a potentially disease-carry ticks can transmit disease
